Not every USB-C port supports video output.

For the Promate HDLink-60H to work, the source device's USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), Thunderbolt 3, or another compatible video-output implementation.

A device having a USB-C connector does not automatically mean it can output video.

Important Direction Note

The HDLink-60H is designed for:

USB-C Device → HDMI TV / Monitor / Projector

It should not be treated as a bidirectional cable. It is not intended to convert an HDMI source into a USB-C monitor input.

Important Note

To achieve 4K@60Hz, the source device, USB-C video output, and HDMI display must all support the required 4K@60Hz mode.

If the source device only supports 4K@30Hz or 1080p output through USB-C, the HDLink-60H cannot increase that capability.
