2 Inputs → 1 HDMI Display

The UGREEN 55452 is designed to let two source devices share one display.

Input / Output Configuration

• Input 1: USB-C
• Input 2: HDMI
• Output: HDMI
• Connected Sources: Up to 2
• Displays: 1
• Active Source: 1 at a time

For example:

USB-C Laptop + PS5 → UGREEN 55452 → Gaming Monitor

You can then switch between the laptop and PS5 without repeatedly disconnecting HDMI cables. UGREEN specifically describes this model as a 2-input, 1-output switch for a single monitor.

4K Ultra HD at 60Hz

The UGREEN 55452 supports resolutions up to 4K UHD at 60Hz.

Video Performance

• Maximum Resolution: 3840 × 2160 / 4K UHD
• Maximum 4K Refresh Rate: 60Hz
• HDMI Version: HDMI 2.0
• Bandwidth: Up to 18Gbps
• HDR: Supported
• HDR10+: Supported
• 3D Video: Supported

The 18Gbps transmission specification is also listed by UGREEN for SKU 55452.

USB-C Video Input

Unlike a conventional HDMI-only switch, the UGREEN 55452 provides a USB-C video input.

This makes it useful for compatible:

• MacBooks
• Windows laptops
• USB-C tablets
• USB-C smartphones
• Steam Deck
• Other USB-C devices with video output

Important USB-C Requirement

The connected USB-C source needs to support DisplayPort Alt Mode / video output. A USB-C connector alone does not guarantee video capability. UGREEN specifically advises checking DP Alt Mode support.

HDMI Input

The HDMI input can be used with conventional HDMI source devices such as:

• PlayStation 5
• PlayStation 4
• PlayStation 3
• Xbox consoles
• Desktop PCs
• Laptops
• TV boxes
• Streaming devices
• Media players

UGREEN lists compatibility with PS5/PS4, Xbox, laptops, tablets, and streaming devices.

One-Button Source Switching

A physical switch button lets you select which connected source is sent to the HDMI display.

For example:

• USB-C: Laptop
• HDMI: PS5
• Output: Gaming Monitor

Simply press the button to switch between the two source devices.

LED indicators help identify the currently selected input.

HDR10+ Support

The UGREEN 55452 supports HDR10+, providing compatible displays and source devices with enhanced HDR video capabilities. UGREEN's official product materials identify HDR10+ and 3D support for this model.

HDR performance ultimately depends on the entire signal chain, including:

• Source device
• Switch
• HDMI cable
• Display
• Video content

HDMI Audio Sync

Because HDMI carries both digital video and audio, compatible audio can be transmitted to the connected display alongside the video signal.

This makes the switch suitable for:

• Gaming
• Movies
• Streaming
• Presentations
• Home entertainment

USB-C Power Input

UGREEN specifies that the switch requires a USB-C power input for reliable signal transmission; the power source is not included.

Power

• Power Interface: USB-C
• External Power: Required for stable operation
• Power Adapter: Not included

This power connection is for operating the switch and should not be confused with high-wattage laptop USB-C Power Delivery.

Aluminum Construction

The UGREEN 55452 features an aluminum body, providing a premium appearance while helping with heat dissipation.

Design

• Material: Aluminum
• Weight: Approximately 118g
• Compact desktop design
• Suitable for portable use

UGREEN officially lists aluminum construction and a weight of 118 grams.

Plug-and-Play

The switch is designed for straightforward operation without specialized software.

Connect:

Source Devices → UGREEN 55452 → HDMI Display

Then use the physical button to select the required input.

For PS5 Gaming

The UGREEN 55452 can be useful when a gaming monitor has limited HDMI inputs.

For example:

PS5 → HDMI Input
Gaming Laptop → USB-C Input
UGREEN 55452 → Gaming Monitor

You can then switch between the PS5 and laptop using the physical button.

Important for 120Hz Gaming

The switch is rated for 4K @ 60Hz. It should not be advertised as a 4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 switch.

For PS5 gaming at 4K 120Hz, an HDMI 2.1 switch specifically supporting the required bandwidth would be the appropriate choice.

HDMI Switch vs HDMI Splitter

Despite some listings using the word “splitter,” the UGREEN 55452 is functionally a 2-in-1-out switch, not a device for sending one source to two screens. UGREEN explicitly specifies 2 inputs → 1 output and single-monitor use.

Important Compatibility Notes

For 4K@60Hz, all components in the video chain must support the required bandwidth, including the source, switch, HDMI cable, and display.

For the USB-C input, the source device must support video output/DP Alt Mode. UGREEN also recommends using a USB-C cable no longer than 1 meter for the required connection.
