Dual HDMI Output

The MediaSplit-H2 takes a signal from:

1× HDMI Source

and distributes it to:

2× HDMI Displays

This allows the same source content to be shown simultaneously on two compatible HDMI TVs or monitors.

Example Setup

PS5 / PC / Laptop / Media Player → MediaSplit-H2 → 2× HDMI Displays

This can be useful for:

• Gaming Setups
• Dual-TV Setups
• Retail Displays
• Office Presentations
• Meeting Rooms
• Classrooms
• Entertainment Systems
• Digital Signage

Important: Splitter, Not Extended Desktop Adapter

The MediaSplit-H2 duplicates the same HDMI source signal to two displays.

It should not be described as a dual-monitor extended-desktop adapter that generates two independent video outputs.

In normal splitter operation:

Display 1 = Same Source Content
Display 2 = Same Source Content

Promate specifically describes the product as connecting one HDMI source to two HDMI TVs or monitors simultaneously.

Ultra HD 4K@60Hz

The splitter supports resolutions up to:

3840 × 2160 at 60Hz (4K UHD)

Promate rates both HDMI Output 1 and HDMI Output 2 at 4K@60Hz.

This makes it suitable for high-resolution:

• Movies
• Gaming
• Presentations
• Video Playback
• Desktop Mirroring
• Digital Content

IT66630 HDMI Chipset

Promate specifies the internal HDMI chipset as:

IT66630

The chipset handles the distribution of the source HDMI signal to the two HDMI outputs.

USB-C Power Input

The MediaSplit-H2 has a:

USB-C Power Input

with an official input rating of:

5V / 3A

Important

The USB-C connection is used for power, not as the primary video source.

This product should therefore not be confused with the Promate MediaLink-H2, which is a USB-C-to-dual-HDMI display adapter. The MediaSplit-H2 instead takes an HDMI source and splits it to two HDMI outputs.

100cm / 1 Meter Cable

The built-in cable measures:

100cm / 1 Meter

providing useful positioning flexibility between the HDMI source and splitter unit.

Plug & Play

The MediaSplit-H2 is designed for:

Plug & Play Operation

No additional driver installation or software configuration is required for normal use.

Specifications

Official technical specifications confirm the IT66630 chipset, 5V/3A USB-C input, 1m cable and 4K@60Hz capability on each HDMI output.

Compatibility

The MediaSplit-H2 is intended for HDMI source devices and HDMI-equipped TVs or monitors.

Suitable Source Devices

• PlayStation 5
• PlayStation 4
• Xbox Consoles
• Desktop PCs
• Laptops with HDMI Output
• Mac Computers with Compatible HDMI Output/Adapter
• Media Players
• Streaming Devices
• Set-Top Boxes
• Other HDMI Source Devices

The Games World listing specifically markets the MediaSplit-H2 for devices including PS5, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, while the fundamental requirement remains an HDMI source connection.

Important MacBook Compatibility Note

Many modern MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models do not provide a native HDMI output, depending on model and generation.

For a MacBook without a suitable HDMI output, an appropriate USB-C/Thunderbolt-to-HDMI adapter is required before connecting to the MediaSplit-H2.

The MediaSplit-H2 itself is not a USB-C-to-HDMI display adapter.

Important PS5 Note

The splitter can accept an HDMI source such as a PlayStation 5 and is rated for output resolutions up to 4K@60Hz.

Therefore, this model should not be advertised as a 4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 gaming splitter. Its officially specified maximum output is 4K@60Hz.

For PS5 users specifically seeking 4K/120Hz, this is not the appropriate splitter specification.
