Maximum output resolution and refresh rate also depend on the capabilities of the specific MacBook Pro model.

Important Note

To achieve 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz, the entire setup must support the required video mode:

Compatible Source → PrimeLink8K-300 → Compatible Display

For example, connecting the cable to a 4K@60Hz TV will limit the output to the capabilities of that TV. The cable cannot increase the native resolution or refresh rate of a console, GPU, monitor, or television.
