Specifications

31.5-Inch QHD Gaming Display

The VG32WQ3B provides a large 31.5-inch gaming screen with a native resolution of:

2560 × 1440 QHD

This provides around 78% more pixels than 1920 × 1080 Full HD, giving games greater image detail while remaining considerably easier to drive at high frame rates than 4K.

QHD is especially well suited to a 31.5-inch display for:

• Competitive Gaming
• AAA Games
• Racing Games
• Open-World Games
• Streaming
• Movies
• General Productivity

Fast VA Panel

ASUS's official technical specification identifies the VG32WQ3B as using a Fast VA panel.

VA technology is particularly known for strong native contrast, while the Fast VA implementation is designed to provide quicker pixel response suitable for gaming.

The monitor delivers a typical contrast ratio of:

3500:1.

This provides deeper dark scenes and stronger separation between bright and dark content than displays with lower native contrast ratios.

Important: Fast VA, Not Fast IPS

Some ASUS marketing PDFs contain wording referring to “ASUS Fast IPS technology” for this model, but ASUS's official technical specification, user manual and structured product data identify the actual panel as Fast VA.

For an accurate ecommerce listing, use:

Fast VA

and not Fast IPS.

Immersive 1500R Curvature

The VG32WQ3B uses a 1500R curved panel.

The curvature is designed to bring the edges of the large display visually closer to the viewer, increasing immersion during games such as:

• Racing Simulators
• Flight Games
• First-Person Shooters
• Open-World Games
• RPGs
• Sports Games

A curved display is particularly useful on a larger 31.5-inch screen because more of the panel fills the user's field of view.

Ultra-Fast 180Hz Refresh Rate

The VG32WQ3B supports a maximum refresh rate of:

180Hz.

At 180Hz, the screen can refresh up to 180 times every second when the graphics card, game and display connection provide a sufficiently high frame rate.

Compared with a traditional 60Hz monitor, this can make:

• Camera movement smoother.
• Enemy tracking clearer.
• Mouse movement feel more responsive.
• Fast racing scenes easier to follow.
• Competitive gameplay more fluid.

ASUS specifically positions the 180Hz refresh rate for FPS, racing, real-time strategy and sports games.

DisplayPort for Full 180Hz

For maximum refresh rate, connection type is important.

ASUS specifies:

DisplayPort: 48–180Hz
HDMI: 48–144Hz.

Therefore, PC gamers who want to use the monitor at its full 2560 × 1440 / 180Hz capability should use DisplayPort with compatible graphics hardware.

Through HDMI 2.0, ASUS officially specifies operation up to 144Hz on this model.

1ms GTG Response Time

ASUS rates the monitor at:

1ms GTG

with a further:

0.5ms minimum response-time figure.

Fast response helps reduce visible trailing during rapid:

• Camera Turns
• Flick Shots
• Racing
• Target Switching
• Enemy Tracking
• Fast Character Movement

This works together with the 180Hz refresh rate to produce clearer high-speed gaming visuals.

Extreme Low Motion Blur

The VG32WQ3B supports
