Important HDMI Splitter Note

This is the most important specification for the product page:

The UGREEN CM217 cannot output to two monitors simultaneously.

In 1-in-2-out mode:

Display 1 OR Display 2

can operate.

Not:

Display 1 AND Display 2

at the same time.

Customers who need one source mirrored simultaneously across two screens require a powered 1×2 HDMI splitter, not this bidirectional selector.

Important PS5 / Xbox Note

The CM217 can be used with:

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

through HDMI.

However, the switch's specified maximum video capability is 4K@60Hz.

Therefore, it should not be advertised as a 4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 gaming switch.

For PS5 or Xbox Series X users who require 4K@120Hz, VRR at HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, or other high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 features, an appropriate HDMI 2.1 switch should be used instead.

Important 4K Cable Note

Achieving 4K@60Hz depends on the complete HDMI chain:

Source → HDMI Cable → CM217 → HDMI Cable → Display

Every component must support the required video mode.

UGREEN recommends short, suitable HDMI cables for reliable 4K@60Hz operation.

Important Switching Delay

When switching from one HDMI path to another, the source and display need to perform a new HDMI/HDCP handshake.

UGREEN documentation lists a typical switching/adaptation period of approximately:

3–7 Seconds

A short black screen during switching is therefore normal.

Important Cable Note

The CM217 provides:

HDMI Female Ports

HDMI connection cables are required between the switch and the source/display devices.

Do not assume HDMI cables are included unless physically present in the specific retail package.
